A campaign of 100 days, 100 cities, and 100 organizations was organized by Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under the Ministry of Ayush from 13th March 2023 to 21st June 2023 across the globe regarding the celebration of 9th IDY-2023. The campaign aimed to promote and disseminate knowledge and practice of Yoga among the people, at the national level, for the improvement of their health and well-being.
Ocean Ring of Yoga: The innovative program 'Ocean Ring of Yoga' was witnessed during IDY-2023 on June 21st. With the support of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs, and Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Yoga demonstrations took place at many ports and on ships worldwide, with participation from friendly countries. Indian naval ships stationed at various ports globally, along with countries engaged in maritime cooperation agreements with India, showcased coordinated yoga demonstrations.
Over 3,500 naval personnel across 19 ships travelled 35,000 km to promote Yoga in 34 countries. Foreign Navies and overseas Missions also participated, with Indian ships at nine ports and CYP demonstrations organized in MoU countries.
Arctic to Antarctica: Yoga from Arctic to Antarctica was another facet of that year’s IDY where Yoga demonstrations were organized in countries falling in and around the Prime Meridian line and on North Pole and South Pole regions.
Scientists/Researchers at India’s research bases in Arctic and Antarctica namely Himadri and Bharati also participated in Yoga demonstrations.
As part of this initiative, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force along with ITBP, BSF, and BRO made a chain of Yoga demonstration in unison named Yoga Bharatmala. Similarly, yoga demonstrations along the Indian coastline and islands termed Yoga Sagarmala were also formed.
At the grassroots level, The Ministry of Ayush effectively connected with rural communities in order to promote the message of 'Har Aangan Yoga.' They arranged yoga demonstrations at Panchayats, Anganwadi centers, Health and Wellness Centers, and schools. They covered a wide range of locations including around 200,000 common service centers, Ayush Gram Units, and areas near Amrit Sarovar.

Organized a quiz contest on MyGov for public participation. (https://quiz.mygov.in/quiz/international-day-of-yoga-2023-quiz/). Questions were based on publicly available information on past IDY celebrations and Yoga.
