The aims and objectives of NIN is to propagate and promote Naturopathy and Yoga, to provide treatment facilities for all kinds of diseases through Naturopathy and Yoga, to conduct research and training and to establish a living Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. As an apex institution, NIN is progressing with the object of creating from it a Nature Cure University – which was one of the main aims of Mahatma Gandhi in forming the “All India Nature Cure Foundation Trust” on18th November  1945; the same date which is declared to be observed as Naturopathy Day every year by Ministry of Ayush, Government of India

The Institute is providing free OPD consultation and provide treatments at a nominal fee for various diseases and is running a sanatorium exclusively for HIV+ve individuals at Panchagani, with free hospital, accommodation and food. In the path of developing, promoting and propagating naturopathy literature, NIN started publishing Nisargopachar Varta, a bi-lingual monthly magazine for natural health from January 1993 onwards and has completed 25 years of publication without any break.

NIN has a research desk which is actively involved in In-house research activities individually and also in collaboration with other institutes and have research publications in various National and International Indexed Journals.
